# Removal

To properly remove the **Webtrends Tag Manager**, you should *first* remove any tagging that has been implemented on all sites in your environment.

## Tag Configuration Removal

1. Navigate to the **Webtrends Tag Manager** site.
2. Select **all** sites in the *Tag Manager* web part's **site list**.
3. Select the option to **Un-tag** the selected sites.

          Note:

In the **Tenant-Wide** version, this action will remove the *User Custom Actions* used by *classic* pages, to avoid *orphaned* entries after Tag Manager removal.

*Modern* pages are tagged automatically due to the *tenant deploy scope*, and removing the Tag Manager from the **app catalog** will *automatically* remove the extension from all modern pages.

          Note:

In the **Single-Site** version, this action will uninstall the **Webtrends Tag Manager** package from each site collection and its sub-sites. The **Webtrends Tag Manager** will disappear from the *Site Contents* page of each site.

Removing the package on the site removes the *modern* *extension*.

The Untagging action will also uninstall the *User Custom Action* from any sites it was installed onto.
