# Webtrends SharePoint Online Modern View Extension Dependencies

## App Catalog

Use of the **Webtrends SharePoint Online Modern View Extension** app extension requires a properly configured *app-catalog* in the environment.

## Permissions

Deployment of extensions to a site collection directly and enable it generaly require **Site Administrator** permissions. The add-in can also be deployed in bulk via *Power Shell* with *unknown* Permission requirements.

          Note:

          

The *managed paths* deployment for app extensions appears to be unsupported by *Microsoft*.

## Webtrends SharePoint Tag Installer

The app extension's references the same configuration lists as the **Webtrends SharePoint Tag Installer** on the *same* site collection. As such, the **Webtrends SharePoint Tag Installer** must be *also* installed *and* enabled for tracking with a valid *DCSID*.

The *Tag Installer* **cannot** be installed via *Managed Paths* when also using the *App Extension*. The extension references the local site collection lists of the *Tag Installer*, and when deploying the *Tag Installer* via the *Managed Paths*, the local lists do not exist.
