# Apache Log4j2 Issue

Webtrends is aware of the security issue that was reported relating to the open-source Apache “Log4j2" utility (CVE-2021-44228). Systems and services that use the Log4j Java logging library between versions 2.0 and 2.14.1 are all affected.

Webtrends Analytics version 9.4 and later are not affected. For versions prior, a patch was released that needs to be run on each UI server in the installation. It can be downloaded [here](https://cdn.webtrends.com/downloads/log4shell/webtrends_log4shell_hotfix_v1.7.zip).
